We started this adventure with one goal in mind: To explore every country in the world, one weekend at a time.
With over 200 countries to explore it would be easy to start with the big ones at the top of everyone’s list: France, Spain, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand!
However, we’re fast learning that the joy of the mission is that we need to look at and into every country in the world, learning about its history, culture and everything that it has to offer. We’d barely heard of the country before we started planning our Belize itinerary for our most recent adventure to Central America, but we were soon salivating all over tripadvisor and Pinterest.
Belize might just be the most underrated tourist destination in the world.
The view coming into land
Tropical climate, beautiful rainforests, Mayan ruins, history, culture, great food, incredible wildlife both on land and in the sea, coral reefs, beaches and resorts to seduce the most luxurious travellers.
Although it is Central America’s biggest tourist destination, Belize isn’t a well-known travel destination here in the UK. Which is crazy as Belize is an English speaking country too? What’s not to love?
Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be doing our best to show you some of what the country has to offer and do our best to put Belize on your bucket list.
Since this blog specialises in “fast travel” and trying to experience a country the best way in short amount of time, my Belize itinerary for my #BetterBelizeIt trip does not disappoint. As an adventure lover with an ‘I’ll try anything once’ attitude, we’ll share with you our sprint through Belize and we’ll even throw in a quick jaunt across the border to Guatemala as well.

I’ve never been to Belize and don’t really know too much about the country so looking forward to seeing everything you end up doing. Looks like you’re going to have quite an adventure though!

What a great itinerary you’re going on guys. We loved San Ignacio. That was our favourite place in Belize. Tikal you’ll be blown away. Definitely get a guide. The information they provide is amazing and so fasinating. Enjoy and have a great time.

Hi Arvin, I hope you have a brilliant time! There are lots of ways (local bus, taxi depending on your budget). The easiest would be the direct bus which takes you through the border too, and can get from the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi port. Hope that helps!
